System Status
The System Status panel displays the health of all Cart Reserve components in real time.
Status Overview
The panel header shows the overall system state:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| All Systems Operational | All components functioning normally |
| Partial Outage | Some components experiencing issues |
| Major Outage | Critical components unavailable |
Components
Backend
Core reservation processing service responsible for creating, managing, and expiring reservations.
Status messages:- "Backend is healthy" — normal operation
Storefront
Customer-facing reservation interface integration that displays timers and reservation status to shoppers.
Status messages:- "Storefront is properly configured" — integration active and working
App Embed
Theme app extension for cart and product pages that enables the reservation UI.
Status messages:- "Active" — app embed is enabled and functioning
Shopify Connection
Communication channel with Shopify APIs for inventory synchronization and order management.
Status messages:- "Connected" — API connection established and working
Checkout Validation
Order validation service that verifies reservations during checkout.
Status messages:- "Active" — checkout validation is enabled
Status Indicators
Each component displays a health indicator:
- Healthy (✓) — component operating normally (green checkmark)
- Degraded (!) — reduced performance or partial functionality (yellow warning)
- Down (✗) — component unavailable (red indicator)
Impact Reference
Understanding how component issues affect reservations:

Click "Show details" at the bottom of the panel to view:
- Expanded component information
- Recent status changes
- Active incidents or maintenance windows
When to Check System Status
Review System Status when:
- Customers report reservation issues
- Conversion rates drop unexpectedly
- Inventory synchronization appears delayed
- Testing after configuration changes
